Stunning ivory Cloud electric guitar custom-made and hand-built by a Minnesota-based luthier and fashioned after Prince’s iconic Cloud guitar from the 1984 movie Purple Rain. The offered guitar was hand-carved under the direction of Dave Rusan, who created the original Purple Rain Cloud guitar, and features a solid maple body with pearl white finish, golden hardware, and cloud-inspired design to maple body, horn, and headstock, with a series of black spade markers to fretboard and top of neck. Includes a hardshell Gator carrying case and a scarce issue of the 1991 comic book Prince: Alter Ego, published by DC Comics (Piranha Music) in association with Paisley Park. In overall fine condition.

This exclusive guitar, No. 11, is one of only 12 made that have been supplied privately to Prince associates and other musicians and artists. It has been meticulously built with the same specifications as Prince’s original ivory Cloud guitar, and it is accompanied by a photo of Rusan and the instrument’s luthier posing with the guitar, as well as by a detailed parts/build list that notes the other 11 guitars and owners.
