TDK SA-X cassette tape from an answering machine containing two voice messages from Prince from the fall of 1988, with label to A side of tape annotated in ballpoint: "Message 22, 6:10 pm, 9/25/88, B" and "#1 side A, Tape to Madonna." The contents of the tape have been transferred to a digital audio disc containing six tracks that feature several messages from a variety of Paisley Park staff. The first Prince message can be found on the second track at marker 3:42, message 22, dated September 25, 1988, in full: “Karen, this is Prince. Please call me at home.”

The second Prince message, found on track four at marker 4:19, recorded at 8:33 a.m. on October 9, 1988, relates to Prince and Madonna for a potential collaboration, in full: “Can you make sure that Madonna gets a copy of this, um, today, and um, see if you can talk to her and tell her that she can reach me at home or at Paisley Park after she hears it. Um, stress that I’d like to hear from her today so, um, that we can, um, put something together before I go back on the road. Um, actually just tell her I’d just like to hear from her today because I have to go back on the road. Thanks.”

Other highlights include messages from: Bruno Speight, lead guitarist for The SOS Band; Cat Glover, a backing vocalist, dancer, and choreographer for Prince; Omar Baker, Prince’s half-brother; tour manager Alan Leeds; singer and songwriter Tony LeMans; actress Saundra Santiago; valet Robbie Paster; publicist Robyn Riggs; and business manager Fred Moultrie. In fine condition. From the collection of Prince’s former assistant and accompanied by a letter of provenance.
