Primitive Wooden Child's Chair. This is a great example of a "one of a kind" primitive style chair. It's in VERY GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION and all the joints are "tight". I found this in a Lancaster, Pennsylvania farm estate sale. I don't know its exact age, but based on the materials of construction I would estimate that it's at least 50 to 60 years old. The craftmanship on this piece is a great example of simplicity of style combined with preportion and functionality. This was probably built with great care by a father who could not afford to buy one in the store, but wanted to give a special present to his child. It has the original "burnt umber" paint with all the right wear-marks.
