Primitive Cannon from Phillipines circa Spanish American War Period approx 45" overall, with 4" bore constructed of solid wood body, wrapped with thick hide. The tube portion is 26" in length and the cannon is fired with a fuse. The Moros constructedcirca Spanish American War Period approx 45" overall, with 4" bore constructed of solid wood body, wrapped with thick hide. The tube portion is 26" in length and the cannon is fired with a fuse. The Moros constructed crude but effectiveweapons in order to fight the Americans. Few of these "suicide" cannons are known to exist because they often blew up. With letter from the National Museum Of American History signed by Harry Hunter identifying the cannon as this type.
