<td width="100%">
A most unusual find this is a primative stool. The legs are pegged into a 3 inch thick piece of wood. I believe the legs were once a part of an old table and someone cut them down to make legs for a stool. The top is a hardwood and from the bottom (which is not painted) our best guess is hickory. The top measures 19 1/8" long, 8 1/2" wide and 3" deep. It stands 18 3/4" tall. One of the most unusual things about this stool is the gap on the legs. On one side the gap (from center to center) is 9" and on the other side it is 7 3/4". So whoever made this didn't have the world's steadiest hands at honing out the peg holes. The legs are machined but the top is hand hewn. You can feel and see the the love and care that went into making the top. It has been painted in an unusual way also. The legs are red and white. I think the top was first red and white and then someone topped it with a greenish grey. There is one corner on the top where it has been scraped. Just a stellar and unusual piece for any lover of primatives!
