MIRACULOUS SURVIVOR, this Primitive Mouth-Blown Glass Vessel is a Must See. THIS LOOKS TO ME LIKE IT COULD BE A FIELD MADE WAR VESSEL FOR MEDS OR OILS

PRIMITIVE MOUTH-BLOWN GLASS VESSEL. I do not know a great deal about this piece, other than the fact that it looks very much like Vessels I saw years ago in a museum related to War glass medical supplies, bottles, and vessels. The Vessel is in Pristine Condition, with no chips, cracks, residue, repairs, or other damage, a Miracle for a piece of this age. The vessel is Very Primitively Made, with many various sized bubbles, and a great deal of unmolten sand within the glass. However, none of the bubbles have broken through the surface onto the inside or the outside surface. It is obviously mouth-blown, and has an unusual semi-smoothed pontil. It also appears that this vessel was rolled in sand while still hot, but is not, in the sense we are used to, overshot glass. The overshot, if you want to call it that, is mere sand, rather than ground up glass cullet. The piece is very clean except for some minor dirt in the snake-wrap area on the neck that may be left from the excavation or long storage of this piece. I have made an effort to photograph this piece accurately, showing all the elements of this piece; however, photographing this unusual piece proved to be less than easy. TO FIND A MOUTH-BLOWN GLASS PIECE OF THIS ERA, WITHOUT ANY BREAKS, CRACKS, OR REPAIRS, IS VERY VREY RARE, AND A PIECE NOT TO BE MISSED. IF YOUR PASSION IS IN WAR HISTORY, COLLECTIONS, MEMORABILIA, REENACTMENT, OR THE LIKE, THIS WOULD MAKE A VERY INTERESTING ADDITION RELATED TO YOUR INTERESTS.
