Prewar Walther Mod. PPK .22 Pistol with Inlaid Grips.
Pre-war Walther Mod. PPK .22 pistol with engraved slide and inlaid grips. The pistol has a high polish commercial blue finish with checkered, brown plastic, wraparound grips with the Walther Banner at the top. The pistol has a 60-degree safety lever, push button magazine release on the frame and lanyard loop on the butt. The presentation: "Reichspistolenschiessen/der SA 1939" is engraved on the right side of the slide. The left side of the grip is inlaid with a silver national eagle and swastika insignia and the right side of the grip is inlaid with an enamel-finished SA insignia. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther Banner, the legend: "Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella-Mehlis (Thur)/Walther's Patent Cal. 22" in two lines followed by "Mod.PPK.". The serial number, "197987K" is stamped vertically on the left side of the frame behind the trigger. Pre-war "Crown/N" proofmarks are stamped on the top of the slide behind the ejection port, and on the right side of the barrel chamber and muzzle. The magazine is unmarked and has a dull blue finish.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 95% of the original high polish blue finish. Wear is primarily limited to some minor finish loss on the muzzle end of the slide and the edges of the frame spur. The markings are crisp. The bore is bright. The grips are in very fine condition with minor handling wear. The added inlaid national eagle and SA insignia are in fine condition.
