Rare and distinct chair sat upon by President Barack Obama during a dinner held in his honor on 21 March 2013 in Jerusalem at Israeli President Shimon Peres' private residence. Obama was being honored with the Medal of Distinction by President Peres and other guests and dignitaries included Prime Minister Netanyahu. With a Certificate of Authenticity from the furniture rental supply company that provided these chairs, ''…Knowing the importance of what occurred on this day, led me to preserve these relics in an especially careful manner. I marked each chair by pen on the back of the bottom of the chairs so that future generation would know which particular person sat in which particular chair…'' Signed in Hebrew. White painted wood chair measures 20'' width x 42'' height x 18.5'' deep, with a padded backrest and seat attached with brass rivets. Minor scuffing, else near fine.
