Stunning original 17” x 22” color photograph by Yousuf Karsh titled “The President and Mrs. John Fitzgerald Kennedy,” undated (c. 1961), inscribed in full: <I>“For Mr. and Mrs. James J. Guinea-with best wishes-John F. Kennedy” </B></I>Born in Turkey, Yousuf Karsh (1908-2002) emigrated to Canada, where he began a prolific photographic career culminating in portraits of 51 of the “100 Most Notable People of the Century” as selected by the <I>International Who’s Who</B></I> in 2000. His remarkable work in both black-and-white and color took him from the studios of Hollywood to the domains of world leaders. His famous World War II portrait of Sir Winston Churchill has been called the most reproduced photograph in history. This remarkable portrait of The President and Mrs. Kennedy is in fine condition with an almost unnoticeable light crease on the left side.
