<B>President Benjamin Harrison Signed Naval Appointment 1893.</B></I> Partly printed document signed "<I>Benj. Harrison</B></I>" as president, 15.5" x 19.5", on vellum, Washington, January 14, 1893. A beautifully engraved naval commission issued to Walter S. Burke as "assistant engineer with the relative rank of ensign." Countersigned by Secretary of the Navy B. F. Tracy. Top and bottom ornately engraved with nautical scenes.
