Composed on White House stationery and dated 1 May 1953, the President offers comfort to the father of a sick child: “...I am deeply sorry to learn of the illness of your little daughter...I trust...the doctors will find a way to bring her back to complete...recovery; certainly you may be sure that my prayers will be added to yours for her return to health. / With all good wishes...” Signed “Dwight D. Eisenhower” in bold black ink. Slight creasing else near fine condition.
