Premier edition Roy Rogers “King Of The Cowboys” .45 caliber single action revolver with 4 ¾” barrel engraved and ornamented with Roy Rogers history in T.V. and film. Fancy pearl grips with inlaid plaque commemorating 50 years of entertainment and public service 1940-1990. This example is number 4 in the series which was issued by U.S. Historical Society and was presented to Richard Irwin a close family friend of Roy’s. According to tradition No. 1 went to Roy, No. 2 to his son Dusty and No. 3 to another family member and No. 4 was Irwin’s. The revolver remains in excellent to near mint condition and it is in its original display box which is also hand inscribed in pen on the inside lid “To Dick, Roy Rogers 7/28/ 90.
