Hohokam Rillito, Red on Brown pottery bowl. This historical ancient artifact was found in the Tucson Basin area archaeological site. This ancient pot is hand coiled and fired, dating back to circa A.D. 850 - 900. it is wonderfully preserved and almost completely intact with a couple of chips on the rim. It has a flared tip with two small lug handles and features a hand painted faded red based slip design of intriguing concentric bands of geometric triangles - Possibly a sun image on the outside, measures 5.5" x 6". Also included in this lot is a Vintage Collectable Navajo Dine Pitcher hand coiled Arizona clay, pit fired and sealed with a thick coating of pitch. This pitcher features the rich terra cotta color with carbon smudge 'fireclouds'. Excellent condition, circa 1940's Native American Art, measures 7.25" x 4.25".
