For your consideration is this Hohokam culture terra cotta clay pottery vessel. The Hohokam culture were prehistoric North American Indians who flourished in present day central and southern Arizona from 200 to 1400 CE. The liquid vessel was excavated c. 1950 by the consigner's father in central Arizona. It was appraised by Bruce Shackelford, an independent San Antonio appraiser and consultant for Indian art and culture. The vessel is in mint condition for age and measures 3.5" wide, 3.5" tall, and the top opening circumference is 2".
