Size 8. 6.8 grams horn & silver. Horn corol fossil or rugosa, also called the tetracorallia, are an extinct order of solitary corals that were abundant in the Middle Ordovician ( 470 million to 458.4 million years ago ) to Late Permian (299 to 251 million years ago ) seas. Solitary rugosans are often referred to as horn corals because of a unique horn-shaped chamber with a wrinkled, or rugose, wall.
