Pre-war Belgium box lock, 12 gauge SxS shotgun signed Le Page, Liege and serial numbered 53097. The barrels measure 30” and are choked improved modified right and full left. The shotgun is mounted with double triggers and automatic ejector’s. The fences are nicely chiseled and the frame is lightly engraved in a scroll motif. The barrels show 95% to 98% plus original blue and show and 90% to 95% original color case hardening. The trigger guard shows almost all of its original bright blue. The stock is in very good condition with crisp checkering and just some minor handling. The stock measures 14 ¾” to the end of the recoil pad. Le Page was the premier name in French gun making during the 19th century and supplied arms to royalty. A member of the Le Page family established a branch in Liege around the turn-of-the-century. A seldom encountered fine quality European arm. Est.: $1,250 -$2,500.
