Manufactured in 1938 with a beaded blade front sight and an elevation adjustable rear sight. The barrel is marked with the second inscription and has a "W/P" proofmark at the breech. The receiver has a "W/P" proofmark at the top near the barrel and the top tang is factory drilled and tapped for a peep sight with filler screws installed. The slide release is checkered. Mounted on a 6 1/2 inch 11-groove walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as partially refinished (barrel), 97% original blue finish on the balance of rifle with a few scattered minor marks, some slight high edge wear and some cycling wear. The stock set is also very fine with scattered minor scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
