Manufactured in Belgium with a single brass bead front sight, 2 5/8 inch chambers, chokes gauge at full/modified and ejectors. The solid matte rib features a fine scroll engraving on the breech end divided from the matte by a gold inlaid band. The right barrel is marked "VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD" on the top with the top of the left barrel marked "U.S. AGENTS NEW-YORK". The casehardened box lock action has a fine scroll engraving with the fences exhibiting a leaf pattern. The receiver is marked "A. FRANCOTTE MAKER & PATENTEE/LIEGE BELGIUM" on both sides. The scrollwork featured on the action extends to the forearm hardware, trigger guard/lower tang, safety, and break lever.Double triggers and tang mounted automatic safety with a gold inlaid "S". Nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with scallop bordered, checkered flats and fitted with a black serrated buttplate. Length of pull is 13 7/8 inches.

Condition: Refurbished. The barrels retain 99% of the blue finish, showing thinning in areas giving way to a plum patina. The trigger guard retains 98% blue finish. The action retains 25% original case colors, mainly in the protected areas, with the balance a smooth gray. The wood is excellent as freshened with only a few overall scattered minor dings and handling marks. The checkering is crisp. The markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically excellent.
