Pre-World War II Colt Government Model Semi-Automatic Pistol

Produced in 1931. Serrated Patridge blade front sight and Micro-brand adjustable rear sight, with the two line single block address and patent dates on the left side, "COLT/AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 45" and the Rampant Colt on the right ahead of the ejector port. Standard markings on the right side of the frame, with "1/VP" and "60" on the trigger guard. A "KING" brand bushing has been installed, and the barrel is unmarked except for "C.L.-5031-01/Q1/TRC" in electric-pencil on the right side near the muzzle. Wide checkered hammer, short milled trigger, long grip safety, serrated slide stop, checkered thumb safety and magazine catch, and checkered arched mainspring housing with lanyard ring. Grips are checkered plastic and the magazine is marked "S" on the toe.

Very good as modified for target shooting, with 75% of the blue finish, showing a gray patina on the grip straps and high edges, areas of brown on the slide and frame, and scattered spotting and handling marks. The replacement grips are good, with some dents and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
