Pre-War Walther PP Semi-Automatic Pistol with Scarce SA Group Westphalia Markings
Fixed sights, with the standard maker's marks on the left side of the slide, "crown/ N" commercial proofs on the right side of the slide, chamber and muzzle, and matching serial numbers on the right side of the frame and inside the slide. The front strap of the pistol has been marked "SA der NSDAP/ Gruppe Westfalen" (Stormtroopers of the National Socialist Democratic Worker's Party/ Group Westphalia). Equipped with a 60 degree safety, ring hammer, black checkered grips and matching extension. Group Westphalia was part of the Nordrhein-Westfalen state, where Hitler spoke the day before he initiated the SA purge known as the Night of Long Knives, and the location of the burial site of Ernst Eduard von Rath, the German diplomat whose assassination was used as justification for Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass.
