Pre-War Walther Custom Engraved PPK Semi-Automatic Pistol

This is an example of a pre-WWII Walther PPK semi-automatic pistol that was subsequently custom engraved and cased. The pistol has been engraved in a floral (Edelweiss) and vine type engraving pattern mixed with a punch dot back ground. The serial number is stamped on the right side of the frame with the last three digits "192" correctly scratched on the inside of the slide. The Walther Banner/slide legend has been framed in a circular border with the noted engraving pattern covering the remaining surfaces of the slide, sides of the frame and front grip strap. The right side of the chamber and slide have the early "Crown N" proofmarks. The metal surfaces have an all blue finish. The slide is fitted with the standard sights and 60 degree safety. It is complete with two Walther Banner marked magazines, one with the flat base plate and the spare with the matching brown finger extension. It has the original early production mottled brown plastic checkered grips with the reinforced metal strap on the back sides. The pistol and spare magazine are all housed in a post-war Walther commercial production presentation case. The inside of the case has the red velvet interior with the blue leather outer cover. Inside the lid of the case it is marked "WALTHER".

Very fine as custom embellished with 97% of the blue finish with only edge and high spot wear. The grips are fine with a nice color overall, with sharp distinct markings and checkering and only a very minor age crack on the left side that extends from the grip screw bushings. The Walther leather case is in excellent condition with all the leather material still intact showing minimal handling marks.
