Pre-War Stoeger Mannlicher Bolt Action Rifle, NVSN, .30-06 cal., 24'' ribbed barrel with ramp front sight and void rear dovetail, blue finish, checkered round knob cheekpiece walnut stock, with horn forend cap and basketweave horn buttplate. Double set adjustable trigger, plain blue-bodied spoon-handle bolt with bright extractor and striker. Lightly engraved receiver, triggerguard and magazine floorplate. With double claw-mounted Oigee scope (Berlin) marked ''Luxor 6X 116763''; right side marked ''D.R.P.Nr 305004'', with European type three-post reticle; scope mounts are see-thru type. Stock is lightly marked ''Germany'' to right side above rear triggerguard bow indicating 1920s era export. Forward scope receptable marked ''41''. Appears to be of Austrian mfg. Original leather sling is present. Condition is fine retaining approx. 95% blue with most of the losses to high edges of bolt latch and scope rings. Serrated finger pulls for scope release show some flattening. Set trigger works as designed. Stock shows light scuffs and minor pressure dings, with very small loss at heel and corresponding chip to tip of buttplate. Action is smooth and crisp, bore is fine and should clean somewhat. 70-year-old scope optics are clear and bright. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R)
