Excellent, with 95% plus original blue, with the start of a gray patina concentrated near the breech. The receiver and lever retain approximately 85% of the case colors, otherwise has faded to a gray patina. A coat of varnish has been applied to the stock, with some minor dings and scratches. The buttplate has a few minor chips. The markings are clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
