Manufactured in 1930. Fixed sights with the two line address and patent dates on the left side of the slide and the caliber markings on the right. A matching serial number is stamped around the firing pin hole, with "S" on top of the frame, short milled trigger, arched checkered mainspring housing and checkered grips. The left side of the frame is crudely stamped "OG" above the magazine catch, with "ORVE" next to the serial number. Included with the pistol is a Colt Conversion Kit with Service Ace-style slide assembly, a gold labeled brown leatherette box and a Colt factory letter which verifies the major features and lists shipment to Shapleigh Hardware of St. Louis, Missouri on 22 March 1930.

Condition: Very fine as partially refinished (left forward frame has cold blue) with the balance retaining 70% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina overall, along with scattered handling marks and spotting. A patch of gray is present on the left side of the dust cover and the front sight has red enamel paint on it. The grips are fine earlier production, incorrect replacements (Government model), with sharp checkering and mild dents. Mechanically excellent. The kit box is very good, with wear concentrated on the high edges and the components are excellent with 95% blue.
