According to Colt factory records (photocopy included), this revolver was shipped to the Wyeth Hardware & Mfg. Company in St. Joseph, Missouri, on July 8, 1905. The grips are "Not Listed" with the other features confirmed. Fixed sights, with the top of the barrel stamped with the one line Hartford address and "32 W.C.F." on the left side. The left side of the frame is stamped with the Colt 'three-dates/in two-lines' patent markings followed by the encircled Rampant Colt trademark, and the loading gate is marked "5478". Grips are checkered hard rubber, with Rampant Colt imprints. All visible serial numbers match.

Condition: Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish. The backstrap has been heavily polished, possibly to remove an inscription, with a gray and brown patina strongest on the grip straps, cylinder and the left side of the barrel. Case colors are starting to fade, with vivid color remaining in the protected areas. Some niter blue remains on the screws, strongest on the grip screw, with minor tool marks. Grips are very good, with some mild wear and dings. Mechanically excellent.
