Very good plus. The barrel and ejector rod housing retain approximately 30% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina, with some minor pitting near the muzzle. The cylinder retains over 40% blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina (strongest in the flutes), with some minor spotting and a noticeable drag line. The grip straps retain nearly 30% blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina, with some moderate pitting present on the battered, bent trigger guard. Overall the frame has a smooth brown patina with limited pin prick pitting. The hammer retains some strong amounts of faded case colors. The grips are very good with the exception of some notches on the bottom edges and the bottoms period marked ("OLIVER" right panel, "AHLER" left panel). Overall the checkering is crisp.
