Manufactured in 1920. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, "45 COLT" on the left side and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and on the right side of the front and back strap under the grip. The rear face of the matching cylinder is stamped with the last two, (55), numbers of the serial number. The matching assembly number, "990" is marked on the loading gate and right rear of the frame. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, blue finish with casehardened frame and hammer, and fitted with two-piece stag grips.

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 90% original blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear, thinning on the trigger guard and a mix of original blue finish and smooth gray patina on the grip straps. The frame retains 50% original case colors with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The hammer retains 60% original case colors. The custom stag grips are very fine. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
