Manufactured in 1907. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line Hartford address with the left side marked "38 W.C.F." the left side of the frame has the two line, three patent dates marking followed by a circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is stamped on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap with the assembly number "2943" stamped on the loading gate. The left side of the trigger guard has the Colt triangle proof and the number "6". Casehardened frame and hammer with blue on the remaining parts, blade front and frame notch rear sights, and fitted with stag grips. The right grip panel is numbered to the gun and the left grip panel is numbered "301491" and stamped "HAND MADE BY/D.C." With an open top and toe Triple K leather holster.

Condition: Very good. The barrel and ejector rod housing retain 20% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The cylinder retains heavy amounts of blue (mostly in the flutes) and the grip straps retain traces of original blue in the protected areas (mostly on the trigger guard) with the overall balance a mottled gray patina. The frame retains traces of original case colors in the protected areas with the balance a mottled gray patina. There is some pin point pitting. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks. Holster is in excellent condition.
