The included Colt factory confirms the caliber, barrel length and finish with type of stocks not listed. The revolver was shipped to T.B. Davis Arms Company, Portland, Maine, on April 3, 1923 as part of a two gun shipment. The barrel has the one line Hartford address on top and "38 W.C.F." on the left side. The left side of the frame has the two line, three patent date marking with the Rampant Colt. Trigger guard is marked "3" over the Colt triangle proof on the left side and "&" on the right. Fitted with smooth grips which are marked on the back "B.F. PARKER." Matching serial number on frame and grip straps under right grip panel with the assembly number "342" on the loading gate. With a custom wooden case.

Condition:
Fine. The revolver retains 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The frame and hammer retain 60% original case colors. Front sight has been period altered with a bead added. The replacement grips are fine with some scattered mild handling marks and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically fine.
