According to the included factory letter, this revolver was shipped to Norvell Shapleigh Hardware Company of St. Louis on 28 June 1910, as part of a 5 gun order. Except for the "Not Listed" grips, the features are confirmed by this letter. Fixed sights, with the two line Hartford address and "38 W.C.F." on the barrel. Two line/ three date patents and circled Rampant Colt on the side of the frame, an inverted "3" above the firing pin hole and "380" assembly number. Matching numbers on the frame and grip straps. Checkered grips, with Rampant Colt logos at the tops.

Condition: Good, with traces of the original finish in the protected areas, showing a mixed gray patina overall with scattered pitting and handling marks. The caliber marking appears double stamped (factory error). Grips are good, slightly undersized with extensive smoothing. Mechanically very good.
