Made in 1925. Fixed sights, with the two line address and patent markings on the left side of the slide and "COLT/ AUTOMATIC/ CALIBRE.45" next to the Rampant Colt on the reverse. "GOVERNMENT MODEL/ C140966" on the right side of the frame with "47" on the right side of the trigger guard and "1/ VP" on the reverse. Equipped with a wide checkered hammer, machined trigger, long grip safety, checkered slide catch, thumb safety, magazine release and arched mainspring housing with a lanyard ring on the but which has "G A S" scratched into it. Checkered grips and unmarked two-tone magazine.

Condition: Very fine with minor cold blue touch-up on forward slide, with 90% of the original blue finish on the balance. Some light scratches are visible on the frame around the slide stop, with dings on the reverse and a smooth gray patina along the high edges. Grips are excellent, with a few small spots of verdigris and mild pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
