Manufactured in 1930. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/1903 and 1918 patent dates, the left side of the frame is marked "THE WOODSMAN", the left side of the slide "COLT AUTOMATIC/CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" followed by the Rampant Colt. The serial number is marked on the front strap and the upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the number "1" over the Colt "VP" triangle proof. Elevation adjustable front blade and windage adjustable rear sights, smooth trigger, the back strap has the checkered oval panel, two tone Colt marked magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips. Complete with the original black hinged lid box numbered to the gun, with manual, original test target, hanging tag, correct interior and end labels, and "Special Instructions" pamphlet.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 97% original blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear, a small amount of very light spotting on the back strap and overall a few minor scratches and dings. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dings and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair with a portion of one end flap absent, partial separation of the front flap, a minor tape repair and some outer paper flaking.
