This is an extremely nice example of a professionally restored Pre-War Colt Ace pistol manufactured in late 1937. The left side of the slide has the long Colt two line factory address/patent dates with the Rampant Colt stamped behind the serrations. The right side is marked with "COLT .22 LONG/ RIFLE". The trigger guard is marked with the letter "P" over the Colt triangle "VP" proof mark, the right side of the trigger guard is marked with number "80" inspector mark. Blade front and adjustable rear sights, checkered trigger, wide spur hammer, arched checkered mainspring housing, slide stop and thumb safety. Two tone magazine marked COLT/ACE/22LR" on the bottom and fitted with checkered walnut grips. The pistol is complete with the original hinged lid maroon box with the hand written matching number on the bottom, an original hang tag with the rear sight information, a twisted wire cleaning rod in the heavy paper wrap, "shooting Instructions" pamphlet, test target and instruction sheet.

Near mint as professionally restored with 99% plus correct style blue finish. The grips are near mint as well with sharp checkering. The box is fine with minor edge wear and one end being slightly crushed and 99% of the end label remaining.
