This is a nice example of an original, late 1937 production luger as manufactured by the Mauser factory with the blued parts and the straw colored smaller parts and is fitted with checkered walnut grips. The top of the chamber is dated "1937" and it has the "S/ 42" code marking on the front toggle. It has the "Eagle/ 63" Waffenamt proofs on the barrel extension and underside of the barrel. There is a single eagle firing proof also on the barrel extension, barrel and breechblock. It has the standard "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" on the upper safety area and extractor, respectively. It is fitted with standard checkered walnut grips and is complete with one blue unmarked magazine with an aluminum base that is marked "3815m" with the "Eagle 63" Waffenamt proof.
BBL: 4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue/straw
Grips: walnut checkered
Serial Number: 3815w
Condition: Arsenal refurbished with 95% of an armory reblued finish which has dulled out somewhat overall. The various small parts have been restrawed and now retain 95% of their straw colors. The grips are very good overall with no cracks or damage, but show some minor light pressure dents on the right side from field use. It has all matching numbers except the magazine as noted above and the grips which are unnumbered. Mechanically excellent.
