Established in 1872, Browning Brothers was both a sporting goods outlet and the base of operations for John Moses Browning, where he first sold his Model 1885 Single Shot Rifle before being approached by Winchester. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the one line Hartford address on top of the barrel and the roll stamped "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on the left side, with the left side of the frame bearing the two line patent dates next to the circled Rampant Colt. With Rampant Colt imprints on the checkered grips. Included with the revolver is a brown leather Mexican loop holster, with an attractive floral tooling on the front and no visible makers marks.
