A very rare early Tiwanaku sitting figure, Ca. 400 - 500 A.D. - From the Island of the Moon, this Tiwanaku vessel is a sitting figure with extensive body and face decoration. It is thought that the "square spiral" pattern is associated with the entrance to the underworld, as seen in later Inca pieces. This is a very rare find. Authenticated by Dr. Ickes (a prominant archaeologist that has worked extensively in the Maya and Andes areas). 7-1/4" tall.
