Moche Bronze Maskette, central coast Peru, Ca. 400 - 600 A.D. A repousse sheet copper maskettte with molded facial features. Exterior surface partially cleaned exposing some of the original copper surface with remaining areas of blue-green patina. The reverse is uncleaned and has an overall blue-green patina with earthen deposits. Retains all four attachment tabs on the reverse. Size: 2-1/8" wide + mount. Provenance: Private Chicago collection.
