<td width="100%">
Authentic Pre-Columbian Moche Culture Artifact from the Early Intermediate Period circa 200-500AD. This vessel is in the shape of a Cherimoya a fruit native to the Northern Coast of Peru. This fruit was an extremely important part of the Ancient Peruvain diet in addition, the seeds were crushed and used as a natural insectiside. This unique piece is in excellent condition due to the many years of preservation in the dry desert soils of Peru. It is in overall tannish brown with areas of black from firing and has a raised texture indicative of the original fruit used for the mold.
This item is released from Doctor's private collection, of which many of the pieces have been sold at major New York City Galleries as well as the top auction houses. Guaranteed Authentic Moche Artifact from Early Intermediate Period (200-500AD)
