Bidding with Ebay Live Auctions at West Coast Estates
Please ensure your computer is capable of using the Live Auction tool. Since the live auction proceeds at a rapid rate we encourage users to leave proxy bids prior to the auction. The final authority in all matters relating to the auction and bidding rests with West Coast Estates and the auctioneer conducting the sale. This applies to bid increments as the auctioneer may change increments at any point during a sale, all absentee bidding both online and with the bid clerk, retracting a bid, re-offering a lot at any point in the sale, or any other situation. Competing bids are often placed at the same increment and the auctioneer has sole discretion as to which bid is accepted during the sale. Although we will make every effort to honor bids from outside the salesroom, West Coast Estates assumes no responsibility for error or failure to execute bids placed on-line or otherwise.

The starting bid listed on eBay's Live Auctions for any lot is meant solely as a guide. The actual starting bid is determined by the auctioneer during the sale. It may be either above or below the amount shown on the lot. Please note that the some of the lots are offered with reserve prices, and that meeting the starting bid does not mean that you meet the reserve.

Rarely, an auctioneer re-opens the bidding for a previous lot or re-starts the bidding for a lot that is already on the block. We may be unable to reopen the lot due to the confines of the online tool and absentee bids may not register for re-offered or re-opened lots.
