Another very fine ancient pottery double-chambered flute from the Colima region of Mexico, dating between 100 B.C. and 200 A.D. Of buff clay, covered with deep brown (almost black) slip, two small birds applied to the top, 8 holes drilled allow for changing pitch. 10-1/2"L, with single repair where glued together from two pieces (still functions quite well). Ex-private Arizona collection.
