Ancient utilitarian stone grinding table, called a Metate, manufactured in Costa Rica between 100-500 A.D., made out of a solid volcanic basalt stone.

The ancient Indians would have used the metate for ceremonial proposes,an abstract bird's-head motif,it can be seen as the main figure,trophy head legs.
