The lot features an early Pre-Columbian Central American Jadeite plaque or temple wall carving. The piece shows various Mayan or Olmec carved symbols on a rich solid jadeite green plaque. The piece shows carving on both sides and is possibly from the wall of a temple. The piece is believed to be from circa 1500 BCE to 500 BCE, but is not confirmed. The piece shows very good condition for its age and is truly a museum quality artifact. Measures 9.5"x8.5" and 1.25" thick at areas. Review Pictures for age and description correctness.
