Manufactured in 1948 during the Transition period (late 1945 to 1951. Ramp front sight (hood removed) with a removed rear sight (slot unfilled). Equipped with a Weaver V7-B scope with scope lens cover and Weaver mount. Standard markings including the factory proof on the barrel and receiver. Cloverleaf receiver tang and Transition safety. Pistol grip stock with checkered forearm and pistol grip area, hinged floor plate, sling swivels, and checkered steel buttplate.

Condition: Excellent. The rifle retains 98% original blue finish with loss on the buttplate high edges with some minor spotting (more prevalent on the floor plate and trigger guard) and a few minor scratches. The buttplate has a patch of oxidation along with some minor pitting. The stock is very good with some minor dings and scratches. The checkering is crisp. The scope is excellent with clear optics. The action is excellent.
