Manufactured in 1946 and subsequently modified, the receiver is clip slotted, both receiver bridges are matted, cloverleaf tang and a "Pre-War" safety. There is a Lyman globe front sight with a scope block on the barrel above the right side of the "style 3" barrel markings. The front bridge of the receiver has a scope block, the rear bridge has one hole drilled and tapped with a filler screw and the left rear side has a Lyman fully adjustable peep sight installed. The bolt, extractor and follower are jeweled. Mounted on a multi-point checkered walnut Marksman style stock with sling swivels, forearm accessory rail with hand stop/sling swivel and a checkered steel buttplate. The trigger has a wide serrated shoe installed.

Condition: Very good as custom modified (checkered and jeweled), 95% original blue finish on replacement barrel with some high edge and cycling wear and minor handling marks. The receiver retains 80% thin matte blue finish. The floor plate is refinished with 98% blue finish and some scratches. The rear sight is bent. The stock is very good with some checkering cut off at the bolt notch and floor plate areas and there are some scattered scratches and dings.
