The lot features two original early sterling silver cufflink sets from Mexican silversmiths. The frist is a Pre-1948 Mexican geometric symbolized heavy sterling silver cufflinks signed "HECHO EN MEXICO D.F. / STERLING / 925 / R.B.Z." The body, stem, and articulated piece are all sterling silver and one earring has the original Sundog collection tag marked "BV0386 $225.00". The next set shows sterling silver cufflinks set with polished green jade and is stamped PLATA GUAD MEX 925", which presumably stands for Guadalajara, Mexico Silver 925. These both have Sundog collection tags and pricing, one marked BV0387 and the other $90.00. The body, stem and articulated back are all sterling on this set as well. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and acquired by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman which was both part museum and gallery. Total weight of 28.1 grams. Largest set is approx. 1 1/8" by 1" by 1" each.
