This lot features two hand formed original works of art including a 6 sided clay tea pot with a crackled green-blue drip glaze and the other is a vase with the same glaze. These are both a set from te same period and same clay. The tea pot has a flat top with a yoked handle between two ears and a round lid at its back. The spout is partially broken off due to being over 100 years old. The paired vase or tea vessel is missing the lid (would have been similar to the pot lid). Both pieces are unsigned Japanese clay (this has a rarity as porcelain was more widely used) this could be as early as 1600's. The dimensions 8.25" tall and 7.25" diameter with a 2.25"x.75" spout (the damage to the spout can be repaired). The vessel or vase is 7.375" tall, 4.75" wide and 3.5" deep.
