<B>Pair of Quarter Plate Hard Images in Double Thermoplastic Case (Krainik 31),</B></I> ca. early 1860s, the first a tintype showing an older couple and the second being an ambrotype of a young woman. The resemblance between the two women suggests a mother-daughter relationship. An odd, but hardly unprecedented, mixture of two photographic processes being displayed in the same case. Both sides of the case are embossed with “Alone at the Rendezvous”, <I>Krainik 31</B></I>, from a painting by Alfred DeDreaux. Some flaking to the ambrotype and uneven surfaces on the tintype. Three minor edge chips to the case.
