Pr Prints by Esperanza Martinez and Mario Cespedes, visual measures 24'' x 18'', can be rolled and shipped in tube, Artist Bio: Esperanza Mart¡nez (1934-1998) was a Mexican-born painter who lived in Southern California. She was known for portraits and genre scenes of rural Mexican farmers, formal portraits of prominent Mexican-Americans and pastel paintings of native American subjects. As a precocious young artist, Martinez studied with the famous Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. She moved to the Los Angeles area in 1963 and lived with her family in Hacienda Heights. Martinez died from cancer in 1998. Artist Bio: Mario Cespedes paintings portray the soul and the magic of his hometown in South America and the Amazon River. His colors, textures, and themes presents an unique experience to the viewer. His artwork is world renowed, highly awarded and has been featured by national and international art media. Several articles on his work have been written in art magazines and newspapers such as Southwest Art, Southwest profile, On Board Magazine, The Arizona Daily, The Desert Sun, Los Angeles Times, and Jornal do Brazil, among others.
