Fabulous Wendy vanity or figural powder box. One almost like this one is listed on page 35 of Bedroom and Bathroom Glassware book of the Depression Years by Margaret and Kenn Whitmyer.
This 5.50 oval box has elaborate paint consisting of cold paint cream white and vivid aquamarine green. The design screams Art Deco.
Lovely for the boudoir and this type of item is getting desirable and hard to find.
Slight chip as shown in photo and chip under top inside, a few tiny fleabites on 2 of the 4 feet and some paint loss. Flapper lady finial with outstretched arms holding her skirt down wearing a low cut gown with a double strand of pearls. Fabulous vanity collectible from depression era.
