Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 165(1)O, with crowned-T (within border of dots) countermark on cross (very rare). S-P35; KM-19b; CT-510. 24.7 grams. Very bold full countermark variety that is listed in Ullian (Type S) as "U-2" (1 or 2 known), of which this is possibly the best-known specimen, bold 16 of date and 2 assayers, full but somewhat worn shield and cross, no visible corrosion. Recovered from: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
